Araku Valley is one of the most beautiful a Hill station of Andhra Pradesh in India in Visakhapatnam district. This picturesque town is situated at a distance of 115 kilometers from Visakhapatnam. It is located on the foothill of Eastern Ghats at an average altitude of 911 meters above sea level. Araku Valley is known for its wide range of coffee plantation. This amazing hill town is surrounded by lush green hills and valleys with dense forests all around.

Main Attractions
  • Katiki Waterfalls, Araku Valley: - The waterfall is about 50 ft high and lies around 4 km away from Borra Caves. Katiki Waterfalls originate from the Gosthani River and contains greenery and clear water in its vicinity. At the foot of the waterfall there is a pool formation. During the summer season, Katiki Waterfalls however remain dry.
  • Araku Tribal Museum, Araku Valley: - Is located in the vicinity of Padampura Botanical Gardens, offers a glance at the lifestyle and cultures of the tribal communities indigenous to the Eastern Ghats. Araku Tribal Museum is built with mud and clay and has a rugged theme to it.
  • Padampuram Botanical Garden: - It is an historical garden, located on Araku road. The important highlight of the garden is a toy train; the garden also contains tree top huts, which can be booked by the tourists.
  • Ananthagiri Hills, Araku Valley: - It is mostly known for their coffee plantations, are found while heading towards Araku Valley from Visakhapatnam. Located at a distance of 6km from Vikarabad, these hills are surrounded by the ranges of the Eastern Ghats.
  • Tyda Park, Araku Valley: - It is an upcoming environment friendly project, which is situated at 75kms from Visakhapatanam in Araku Valley. Tyda is well-equipped with services of campig, trekking and bird watching. The park is home to many species of animals like hares and avifauna.
  • Bhimunipatnam Beach, Araku Valley: - Is a famous attraction of Araku Valley, because of its natural beauty. The sandy beach and the blue sea of this attraction are complemented by tall coconut trees in the surrounding.

  • By Road – Araku valley is well connected by road.  There are various buses  and other car options are available from Vizag to reach to Araku Valley.
